If I don't feel like turning on the oven but I want a focaccia, simple; I cook it in a frying pan with this fantastic recipe. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add fine semolina flour, italian 00 flour, dried yeast, sugar, salt, extra virgin olive oil and milk to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  5. Mix with filler cap removed - 30 min, speed 5
  6. Mix with filler cap removed - 30 sec, speed 7
  7. Then add water to the kCook bowl
  8. Mix with filler cap removed - 1 min, speed 8
  9. Transfer content of kCook bowl to lightly floured surface
  10. Knead and cover
  11. Let rest - 30 min
  12. Divide into halves
  13. Line a clean work surface with parchment paper
  14. Brush with olive oil
  15. Take one piece of dough and place it on top of the oiled parchment paper
  16. With oiled hands, shape the dough into a circle the same width as the frying pan
  17. Repeat
  18. Place mozzarella cheese and cooked ham on the work surface
  19. Place the ham and mozzarella onto one piece of the dough leaving a gap around the edges
  20. Place the other piece of dough on top
  21. Prove - 3 hr
  22. Pre-heat a clean frying pan
  23. Remove the top piece of parchment paper
  24. Transfer dough to frying pan
  25. Remove the other piece of parchment paper
  26. Cook each side - 25 min
  27. Let rest in frying pan and turn off heat - 10 min
  28. Serve
