Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Grease a clean square pan
  3. Line with parchment paper then set aside
  4. Attach the Creaming Beater
  5. Add baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, mixed spice, all purpose flour, unsalted butter and baking powder to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 1
  8. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to medium bowl then set aside
  9. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  10. Attach the Creaming Beater
  11. Add muscovado sugar, treacle, golden syrup, whole milk and stem ginger to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Mix with splashguard fitted until melted - 5 min, 80°C, Stir 1
  13. Transfer content of medium bowl to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  14. Add egg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl while machine is running
  15. Mix with splashguard fitted - 4 min, Speed Min
  16. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to square pan
  17. Bake until skewer tests clean - 40 min, 180°C
  18. Let cool onto cooling rack
  19. Serve
