This is our vegan take on a Cajun rice dish, we've used chopped vegan sausages instead of meat, but you could substitute these with soya mince or firm tofu if you prefer. To give this dish extra heat, add some chopped jalapenos and serve with hot chilli sauce, finish with a squeeze of lime.

  5. Then add onion, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, garlic clove and celery stalk to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Cook with splashguard fitted until soft - 7 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  7. Then add kale, tomato, paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, chili flakes, salt and black pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted until fragrant - 2 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  9. Transfer vegetables to medium bowl
  10. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  11. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  12. Add vegan sausage to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  13. Cook with splashguard fitted until heated through - 5 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  14. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to medium bowl
  15. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  16. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  17. Add long grain rice and water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  18. Cook with splashguard fitted until al dente - 3 min, 104°C, Speed OFF
  19. Cook with splashguard fitted until almost cooked - 9 min, 100°C, Stir 3
  20. Then add vegetable stock, lemon, liquid smoke, fresh parsley, salt and black pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  21. Transfer content of medium bowl to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  22. Cook with splashguard fitted until cooked through - 5 min, 100°C, Stir 1
  23. Serve
