Step preview

  1. Grease and line 2 clean round pans with parchment paper
  2. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  3. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  4. Add unsalted butter and golden caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 5 min, speed 8
  8. Then add egg, vanilla extract, espresso, all purpose flour and baking powder to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted then scrape bowl - 2 min, speed 6
  10. Then add walnuts to the kCook bowl
  11. Mix with filler cap fitted - 30 sec, speed 5
  12. Divide batter between 2 round pans
  13. Scatter walnuts over the round pans
  14. Bake - 30 min, 180°C
  15. Let cool on round wire rack
  16. Clean kCook bowl
  17. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  18. Add unsalted butter, icing sugar, espresso and vanilla extract to the kCook bowl
  19. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  20. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  21. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  22. Place one cake half onto a serving plate
  23. Spoon half the buttercream into the middle of the cake and evenly spread
  24. Place the second cake on top and lightly push down to secure
  25. Spoon the rest of the buttercream on top of the cake and evenly spread
  26. Decorate with walnuts
  27. Serve
