Step preview

  1. Chill a can of full fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight
  2. Attach K Beater
  3. Add vegan butter, caster sugar, all purpose flour and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  4. Mix until fine crumbs form - 1 min, Speed 2
  5. Add water to the Kenwood Bowl while machine is running
  6. Mix until mixture comes together - 50 sec, Speed 2
  7. Transfer pastry to work surface and bring together
  8. Cover with plastic wrap
  9. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  10. Attach Creaming beater
  11. Add vegan butter, golden syrup, light brown sugar, lemon juice, lemon and salt to the EasyWarm Bowl
  12. Mix with splashguard fitted until melted - 6 min, 9, Stir 3
  13. Then add breadcrumbs to the EasyWarm Bowl
  14. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined then set aside - 30 sec, Speed 2
  15. Retrieve the chilled pastry from the fridge
  16. Transfer pastry to lightly floured surface
  17. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  18. Line the prepared tin with the pastry
  19. Chill in fridge - 20 min
  20. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  21. Retrieve the chilled pastry from the fridge
  22. Line with parchment paper
  23. Fill with baking beans
  24. Bake - 15 min, 190°C
  25. Remove the baking beans and parchment paper
  26. Bake - 5 min, 190°C
  27. Remove from oven then reduce heat - 180°C
  28. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  29. Fit the thin (2 mm) slicing disc, attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  30. Slice red apple into the Food processor attachment then set aside
  31. Add water to a clean large saucepan
  32. Add lemon juice to the large saucepan
  33. Heat - medium-high heat
  34. Transfer apples to large saucepan
  35. Heat until softened - 5 min, medium-high heat
  36. Drain apples into colander then set aside
  37. Retrieve the syrup filling and the cooked pastry case
  38. Add syrup to tart tin
  39. Level with a spatula
  40. Line the edge of the tart with overlapping apple slices
  41. Overlap 7-8 apple slices in a row and roll up tightly to form a rose
  42. Place the apple rose into the tart
  43. Start at one side of the tart and then prop each rose against the last for support
  44. Repeat the process until the tart is filled completely with apple roses
  45. Bake until light golden - 25 min, 180°C
  46. Remove from oven
  47. Add apricot jam and water to a clean small bowl
  48. Stir until combined
  49. Glaze apples with jam and let cool
  50. Retrieve the coconut milk from the fridge
  51. Clean Kenwood Bowl
  52. Attach Whisk
  53. Add icing sugar, ground cinnamon and coconut milk to the Kenwood Bowl
  54. Mix until thickened - 4 min, Speed Max
  55. Serve
