Step preview

  1. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Add dates and water to a clean heatproof bowl
  4. Soak - 15 min
  5. Sift buckwheat flour into a clean large mixing bowl
  6. Add baking powder and ground almonds to the dry ingredients
  7. Grease a clean square pan
  8. Line with parchment paper
  9. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  10. Add dark chocolate and unsalted butter to the kCook bowl
  11. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  12. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  13. Heat with filler cap removed until completely melted - 4 min 30 sec, 60°C, speed 3
  14. Transfer content of kCook bowl to small bowl
  15. Clean kCook bowl
  16. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  17. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  18. Transfer soaked fruit to kCook bowl
  19. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  20. Grate fresh beet into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  21. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  22. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  23. Mix with filler cap fitted - 10 sec, speed 8
  24. Mix with filler cap removed until completely mixed - 1 min, speed 5
  25. Add egg to the kCook bowl gradually while machine is running
  26. Add vanilla extract to the kCook bowl while blending
  27. Add maple syrup to the kCook bowl
  28. Transfer chocolate mixture to kCook bowl
  29. Mix with filler cap removed and continue - 1 min 25 sec, speed 5
  30. Transfer dry ingredients to kCook bowl gradually while machine is running
  31. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  32. Transfer content of kCook bowl to square pan
  33. Bake - 10 min, 180°C
  34. Add flaked almonds to the square pan
  35. Bake - 15 min, 180°C
  36. Let cool - approx 25 min
  37. Slice
  38. Serve
