This is a country soup deeply coloured and flavoured by kale, which is especially welcome in the winter months when it is in season. The crisps add texture and are a great way to utilise surplus kale that may be lurking in your fridge.

Step preview

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Pre-heat oven - 140°C
  4. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  5. Add kale to the baking sheet
  6. Drizzle with canola oil
  7. Sprinkle with salt
  8. Bake until crispy and let cool - 15 min, 140°C
  9. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  10. Add fresh parsley, fresh rosemary and vegetable stock to the kCook bowl
  11. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  12. Season with salt & pepper
  13. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  14. Slice potato, leek and celery stalk into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  15. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  16. Add garlic clove to the kCook bowl
  17. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  18. Cook with filler cap removed - 4 min, 100°C, speed 1
  19. Then add kale to the kCook bowl
  20. Cook with filler cap fitted - 16 min, 100°C, speed 1
  21. Blend with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 12
  22. Season to taste
  23. Serve
  24. Garnish with double cream to taste
