Use a cheese of your choice, but preferably a hard cheese such as cheddar. You can also vary the flavour by adding fresh chopped herbs, roasted red peppers or olives. Ensure you melt the butter before you start this recipe.

Step preview

  1. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Prepare a clean muffin pan with paper muffin cups then set aside
  4. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  5. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  6. Add egg, milk, unsalted butter and plain yogurt to the kCook bowl
  7. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  8. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 6
  10. Then add all purpose flour, baking powder and salt & pepper to the kCook bowl
  11. Stir with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 6
  12. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  13. Grate cheddar cheese into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  14. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  15. Mix with filler cap removed - 30 sec, speed 4
  16. Transfer batter to muffin pan carefully
  17. Bake until golden brown - 25 min, 190°C
  18. Let cool on round wire rack until room temperature
  19. Serve
