Traditionally cooked at the table on a small burner, mizutaki is a Japanese hotpot cooked in dashi. The chicken thighs flavour the dashi as they cook and veg is then added to create a meal that is both healthy and full of flavour. A great way to clean out any leftovers in your fridge, any vegetables can be substituted so use whatever you have to prevent waste.

  1. Add chicken thighs, chicken stock, dashi, ginger, garlic clove and soy sauce to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

  3. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 15 min, 100°C, Speed OFF
  4. Transfer chicken pieces into the medium bowl and set aside
  5. Add chestnut mushrooms, leek and carrot to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 5 min, 115°C, Speed OFF
  7. Then add chinese cabbage to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted - 5 min, 115°C, Speed OFF
  9. Add ramen noodles to a clean large serving bowl
  10. Add chicken and vegetables to serving bowl and ladle over broth
  11. Serve with green onion and ponzu sauce
