Step preview

  1. Place shortcrust pastry on a clean lightly floured surface
  2. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  3. Transfer pastry to tart tin
  4. Prick with a fork
  5. Chill in fridge - 15 min
  6. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  7. Remove the chilled pastry from the fridge
  8. Line with parchment paper
  9. Fill with baking beans
  10. Bake - 10 min, 200°C
  11. Remove baking beans and parchment paper
  12. Brush with egg
  13. Bake - 10 min, 200°C
  14. Remove from oven then set aside
  15. Lower the oven temperature to 190ºC
  16. Attach the Creaming Beater
  17. Add egg, egg yolk, milk, whipping cream and salt & pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  18. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  19. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  20. Transfer egg mixture to jug
  21. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  22. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  23. Add olive oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  24. Heat with splashguard fitted - 1 min, 140°C, Stir 1
  25. Then add cubed bacon and mushrooms to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  26. Cook with splashguard fitted - 8 min, 110°C, Stir 1
  27. Then add spinach and fresh chives to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  28. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 110°C, Stir 1
  29. Transfer mixture to tart tin
  30. Pour egg mixture into tart tin
  31. Top with sharp cheddar
  32. Bake - 25 min, 190°C
  33. Remove from oven and let cool
  34. Serve
