Step preview

  1. Grease a clean baking dish
  2. Fit the Thin slicing disc to the Food Processor attachment
  3. Slice onion into the Food processor attachment
  4. Transfer the sliced onion into a small bowl and set aside
  5. Slice white cabbage into the Food processor attachment
  6. Transfer cabbage to large mixing bowl then set aside
  7. Remove the attachment from the machine
  8. Add olive oil to a clean large saucepan
  9. Heat until hot - medium-high heat
  10. Add the sliced onion into the saucepan
  11. Sauté until softened - 3 min, medium-high heat
  12. Transfer cabbage to large saucepan gradually
  13. Sauté until wilted while stirring occasionally - 10 min, medium-high heat
  14. Transfer mixture to baking dish then set aside
  15. Clean the Food Processor bowl and fit the fine grating disc
  16. Grate gruyère cheese into the Food processor attachment
  17. Transfer cheese to small bowl then set aside
  18. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  19. Add butter to the large saucepan
  20. Heat until melted - medium-high heat
  21. Add all purpose flour to the large saucepan
  22. Cook while stirring occasionally - 5 min, medium-high heat
  23. Add whole milk to the large saucepan gradually
  24. Cook until thickened then reduce heat
  25. Add salt, black pepper, mustard powder and nutmeg to the large saucepan
  26. Transfer two thirds of cheese to large saucepan
  27. Stir until melted
  28. Pour content of large saucepan into baking dish
  29. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese over the top
  30. Bake until golden brown - 30 min, 180°C
  31. Clean the Food Processor bowl and fit the Knife Blade
  32. Add walnuts, fresh parsley and olive oil to the Food processor attachment
  33. Pulse until coarse crumbs form
  34. Remove the baking dish from the oven
  35. Garnish with the walnut and parsley topping
  36. Let rest - 10 min
  37. Serve
