Fried rice has been a kitchen staple since as early as the Sui Dynasty (589–618 CE) in China. This fried rice recipe is quick and easy to make at home and it's a great way to use up leftover rice. Cooked, cold rice makes the best fried rice and it transforms boring leftovers into an entirely new dish. Fried rice is endlessly adaptable, and you can add extra ingredients such as vegetables, seafood, or meat. It can be eaten by itself or as an accompaniment to another dish.

  1. Add dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and sesame oil to a clean small bowl
  2. Stir until combined then set aside
  3. Attach the Stir Tool

  7. Then add egg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, 110°C, Stir 1
  9. Then add white rice to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  10. Cook with splashguard fitted - 1 min, 110°C, Stir 1
  11. Transfer content of small bowl to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Season with salt and black pepper
  13. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 110°C, Stir 1
  14. Serve
