Step preview

  1. Attach Dough Hook
  2. Add vegetable oil, caster sugar, egg, buttermilk, milk, bread flour, all purpose flour and baking powder to the Kenwood bowl
  3. Mix - 1 min, Speed Min
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed 1
  5. Then add glace cherries to the Kenwood bowl
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 30 sec, Speed 1
  7. Remove the appliance bowl from the machine
  8. Cover with kitchen towel
  9. Let rest - 20 min
  10. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  11. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  12. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  13. Using a rolling pin, roll out until 1.5 cm thick
  14. Cut into rounds
  15. Place shaped dough on baking tray
  16. Let rest - 10 min
  17. Brush with egg
  18. Bake - 12 min, 190°C
  19. Remove from oven and let cool
  20. Serve
