Deliciously rich and indulgent, these praline flavoured chocolate bars would make the perfect homemade gifts for the festive season, simply wrap with colourful foil or paper and finish with a neatly tied ribbon. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 2 months. To make this recipe, you will need a silicone mat and silicone chocolate bar moulds.

Step preview

  1. Preheat the oven - 170ºC
  2. Spread out nuts on a baking tray
  3. Toast until golden – 10 minutes, 170ºC
  4. Set aside and cool until needed
  5. Fit the Stir Tool
  6. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  7. Heat – 2 minutes, 160ºC speed Stir 1
  8. Remove the splashguard
  9. Cook until sugar thickens and colours – 6 minutes, 180ºC, speed Off
  10. Add the toasted nuts and stir through by hands
  11. Transfer the mixture onto a silicone mat before solidifies
  12. Fold the mat in half to ensure the praline sets in a flat layer
  13. Let cool completely – 30 minutes
  14. Fit the Knife Blade to the Food Processor attachment
  15. Break praline into pieces and add into the attachment
  16. Mix – 3 minutes, speed 3
  17. Transfer the mixture into a small bowl and set aside
  18. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Creaming Beater
  19. Add 220 g of chocolate into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  20. Heat – 10 minutes, 43ºC, speed Stir 3
  21. Scrape down the Creaming Beater
  22. Add the rest of the chocolate
  23. Mix until melted – 3 minutes, speed Stir 1
  24. Add the praline
  25. Mix – 1 minute, speed Stir 1
  26. Pour the chocolate mixture into the chocolate bar moulds
  27. Chill in the fridge until solidified – 30 minutes
  28. Remove from the fridge
  29. Remove the chocolate bards from the moulds and trim any excess chocolate if necessary
  30. Serve
