These vegan cinnamon rolls are a plant-based twist on the classic favourite, and it only requires eight ingredients to make. This delicious blend of cinnamon and sugar within a soft baked dough, and finished with a luscious, sweet icing, makes this the perfect plant-based treat for any occasion.

Step preview

  1. Add the ingredients into a jug and mix to combine
  2. Let rest - 10 minutes
  3. Grease a large bowl and set aside
  4. Fit the Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi)
  5. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  6. Then add the yeast mixture, attach the lid without the filler cap
  7. Knead until the dough has formed - 3 minutes, speed 7
  8. Remove the Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi), attach the lid with the filler cap
  9. Prove until doubled in size - 1 hour, 30°C
  10. Grease a tin and line with parchment paper
  11. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and gently knock back
  12. Roll out the dough into a 30 cm x 35 cm rectangle
  13. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with the next ingredients
  14. Starting from the bottom, roll the dough into a tight log
  15. Using a serrated knife, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces
  16. Place the cinnamon rolls into the tin and cover with a damp tea towel
  17. Prove until doubled in size - 1 hour
  18. Preheat the oven - 175ºC
  19. Bake the cinnamon rolls until golden brown - 25 minutes, 175ºC
  20. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly - 10 minutes
  21. Making the icing:
  22. Add the ingredients into a clean bowl and mix to combine
  23. Drizzle the cinnamon rolls with the icing
  24. Serve
