Step preview

  1. Add dates and water to a clean medium bowl
  2. Soak - 30 min
  3. Add vanilla bean paste to the medium bowl
  4. Mash then set aside
  5. Grease 6 clean Dariole molds then set aside
  6. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  7. Add baking soda, egg, all purpose flour, unsalted butter, demerara sugar, baking powder, treacle and milk to the kCook bowl
  8. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  9. Transfer content of medium bowl to kCook bowl
  10. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  11. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 10
  12. Pour content of kCook bowl into 6 Dariole molds evenly between
  13. Cover with parchment paper
  14. Cover with foil
  15. Clean kCook bowl
  16. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  17. Add water to the kCook bowl
  18. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  19. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  20. Heat with filler cap removed - 104°C, speed 1
  21. Arrange molds in steamer tray
  22. Steam - 45 min, 104°C, speed 1
  23. Remove then set aside
  24. Empty content of kCook bowl into sink
  25. Clean kCook bowl
  26. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  27. Add muscovado sugar, unsalted butter, double cream and treacle to the kCook bowl
  28. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  29. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  30. Cook with filler cap removed - 5 min, 80°C, speed 4
  31. Turn out molds onto serving plate
  32. Drizzle serving plate with content of kCook bowl
  33. Serve
