Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Grease and line a clean square pan with parchment paper
  3. Add ground flaxseed and water to a clean small bowl
  4. Combine with tablespoon then set aside
  5. Add non-dairy margarine, instant coffee, dark chocolate, water and vanilla extract to a clean saucepan
  6. Heat until melted - low heat
  7. Transfer content of small bowl to saucepan
  8. Add caster sugar to the saucepan
  9. Mix until combined then set aside
  10. Attach K Beater
  11. Add plain flour, baking powder, almond meal, cocoa powder and salt to the Kenwood bowl
  12. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 4
  13. Transfer chocolate mixture to Kenwood bowl
  14. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined then scrape bowl - 1 min, Speed 4
  15. Mix with splashguard fitted until smooth - 30 sec, Speed 4
  16. Transfer batter to square pan
  17. Bake until skewer tests clean - 40 min, 160°C
  18. Remove and let cool
  19. Serve
