Step preview

  1. Attach the Whisk
  2. Add milk, water, instant dried yeast and caster sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 10 sec, Speed 3
  5. Cook with splashguard fitted - 10 min, 30°C, Speed OFF
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 2
  7. Add bread flour and salt to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl gradually while machine is running
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined then scrape bowl - 30 sec, Speed 5
  9. Remove the Whisk
  10. Prove with splashguard fitted until bubbles form - 1 hr, 30°C
  11. Pre-heat a clean frying pan
  12. Add butter to the frying pan
  13. Place a clean ring mold in frying pan
  14. Ladle batter into ring mold carefully
  15. Cook gently in frying pan until set - 12 min, medium heat
  16. Carefully remove the ring moulds and turn the crumpets over
  17. Cook in frying pan until lightly browned - 2 min, medium heat
  18. Transfer content of frying pan to serving plate
  19. Repeat the process with the remaining crumpets
  20. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  21. Add bacon strips to a clean baking tray
  22. Cook each side then set aside - 3 min, 200°C
  23. Add water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  24. Cook with splashguard fitted until hot - 6 min, 100°C, Speed OFF
  25. Then add egg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl carefully
  26. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 105°C, Speed OFF
  27. Cook with splashguard fitted - 4 min, 100°C, Speed OFF
  28. Add water and ice to a clean medium bowl
  29. Transfer eggs to medium bowl carefully
  30. Let cool - 2 min
  31. Retrieve the crumpets
  32. Spread with butter
  33. Top with avocado
  34. Place bacon on crumpets
  35. Place eggs on crumpets
  36. Serve
