Delicious Pesto made from Chive and Basil. Perfect to make use of large quantities of chives, for example from your garden. It's important to ensure the mixture remains chilled when chopping or it will taste bitter. Serve with fresh pasta or as a dip. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

  1. Add sunflower seeds to a clean frying pan
  2. Heat until toasted and turn off heat - medium-high heat
  3. Set aside and let cool
  4. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  5. Fit the knife blade to the Food Processor bowl
  6. Add parmesan cheese to the Food processor attachment
  7. Attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  8. Chop until fine - approx 40 sec
  9. Transfer content of Food processor attachment to small bowl then set aside
  10. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  11. Fit the knife blade to the Food Processor bowl
  12. Add fresh basil leaves, fresh chives and garlic clove to the Food processor attachment
  13. Attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  14. Chop - approx 50 sec
  15. Transfer seeds to Food processor attachment
  16. Transfer cheese to Food processor attachment
  17. Add olive oil to the Food processor attachment
  18. Mix - approx 20 sec
  19. Serve
