Step preview

  1. Attach Spiral Dough Tool
  2. Add salt, dried yeast, water and wholemeal bread flour to the Kenwood Bowl
  3. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 10 min, Speed 1
  4. Remove the Kenwood Bowl from the machine
  5. Cover with kitchen towel
  6. Prove until doubled - 1 hr
  7. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  8. Gently pull the edges of the dough into the centre
  9. Transfer shaped dough to loaf pan (450g)
  10. Cover with kitchen towel
  11. Let rest until doubled - 1 hr
  12. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  13. Place a tray of boiling water into the bottom of the oven
  14. Retrieve the loaf pan
  15. Bake - 25 min, 200°C
  16. Remove from oven
  17. Turn out onto cooling rack and let cool
  18. Serve
