Step preview

  1. Flour a clean baking tray
  2. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  3. Attach Dough Hook
  4. Add wholemeal bread flour, plain flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and buttermilk to the Kenwood Bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed 2
  7. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  8. Cut in half
  9. Take one half
  10. Gently pull the edges into the centre
  11. Roll over
  12. Shape into a ball
  13. Place shaped dough on baking tray
  14. Use a sharp knife or blade to make slashes
  15. Repeat the same process with the other half of the dough
  16. Bake - 30 min, 200°C
  17. Remove from oven and let cool
  18. Serve
