Step preview

  1. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  2. Add lemon, apple, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon and water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Cook with splashguard fitted - 5 min, 95°C, Stir 2
  5. Transfer mixture to large mixing bowl then set aside
  6. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  7. Attach the K-Beater
  8. Add plain flour, baking powder and unsalted butter to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  10. Then add golden caster sugar, egg yolk, egg, lemon zest and vanilla extract to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  11. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed Min
  12. Transfer dough to work surface
  13. Knead lightly
  14. Divide into 2 equal pieces
  15. Take one half of dough
  16. Wrap with plastic wrap
  17. Chill in freezer - 1 hr
  18. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  19. Grease and line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  20. Take the other half of dough
  21. Roll out
  22. Transfer dough to baking tray
  23. Prick the base with a fork
  24. Bake until light golden - 15 min, 180°C
  25. Remove from oven
  26. Spoon apples into baking tray
  27. Remove the frozen dough from the freezer
  28. Grate over the apples
  29. Bake - 45 min, 180°C
  30. Remove from oven
  31. Let cool slightly
  32. Serve
