Puff Pancake, also known as a Dutch Baby, is super easy and delicious to make! This recipe only requires five ingredients and has added no sugar which makes it a guilt-free option for breakfast or dessert. Add any of your favourite toppings and sides to make it your version. Why not try it with yoghurt, mixed berries, and a sprinkle of icing sugar. If you are increasing the quantity of this recipe, divide the batter evenly and bake in batches to avoid the pancake overflowing the skillet.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  2. Attach Whisk
  3. Add egg, milk, plain flour and vanilla extract to the Kenwood Bowl
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min 20 sec, Speed 4
  5. Add butter to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  6. Place into the hot oven
  7. Heat until melted - 2 min
  8. Remove from oven
  9. Transfer content of Kenwood Bowl to medium cast iron skillet
  10. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 190°C
  11. Serve
