Step preview

  1. Add chickpeas to a medium bowl
  2. Then add water until covered and set aside to soak - 24 hours
  3. Fit the blade to the Food Processor attachment
  4. Add the ingredients into the attachment
  5. Pulse briefly until finely chopped
  6. Transfer the spiced mixture into a small bowl and set aside
  7. Drain the chickpeas and pat dry with paper towel
  8. Reassemble the attachment to the machine
  9. Transfer the chickpeas to the attachment
  10. Pulse until coarsely chopped with no large lumps
  11. Fit the Creaming Beater
  12. Transfer the chickpea mixture and spiced mixture into the appliance bowl
  13. Then add the next ingredients, fit the splashguard
  14. Mix until well combined - 1 minute, speed 1
  15. Transfer the falafel mixture into a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap
  16. Chill in the fridge - 1 hour
  17. Clean the appliance bowl
  18. Add oil into the appliance boil
  19. Heat - 5 minutes, 180ºC, speed Off
  20. Retrieve the falafel mixture and form into balls
  21. Cook the falafels in small batches until golden brown - 5 minutes, 180ºC, speed Off
  22. Carefully remove using a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel
  23. Repeat with the rest of the falafel mixture
  24. Add the ingredients into a small bowl
  25. Mix until well combined
  26. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve
  27. Serve
