These chocolate-coated truffles make use of any leftover panettone or pandoro as a delicious way of transforming food waste into festive edible gifts (if you can bear to give them away!)

Step preview
- Line a large baking tray with parchment paper
- Add the first ingredient into a medium bowl and set aside
- Fit the K-Beater
- Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
- Mix until well combined - 1 minute, speed Min
- Form the mixture into a walnut-sized balls and roll in the cocoa powder until coated
- Place the balls on the baking tray
- Chill in the fridge – 30 minutes
- Fit the Knife blade to the Food Processor attachment
- Add the nuts into the attachment
- Pulse until finely chopped – 30 seconds
- Transfer the nuts into a small bowl and set aside
- Remove the attachment from the machine
- Add the chocolate into a small saucepan
- Heat, stirring constantly, until melted– low heat
- Then add the chopped nuts and stir until combined
- Place a wire rack over a large baking tray
- Using a fork, coat the chilled panettone balls in the chocolate and nut mixture
- Place the truffles on the wire rack
- Chill in the fridge until set – 30 minutes
- Serve
