Step preview
- Making the dough:
- Fit the Dough Tool
- Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
- Knead until the dough has formed - 5 minutes, speed 1
- Transfer the dough into a clean bowl and cover with a damp tea towel
- Let rest - 1 hour
- Making the filling:
- Clean the appliance bowl and fit the K-Beater
- Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
- Mix until combined - 1 minute, speed 1
- Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces
- Roll out each piece into a thin circle, slightly smaller than your frying pan, about 15-20 cm in diameter
- Take a heaped tablespoon of the meat mixture and spread on one half of the circle of dough, leaving a 1 cm outer edge
- Moisten the edges and fold over to form a half-moon shape, making sure not to trap any air inside the pastry
- Press the edges to seal, first with your fingers and then with a fork
- Line a plate or baking tray with paper towels
- Add 2-3 cm oil into a deep sided frying pan
- Heat until hot and bubbling gently - medium-high heat
- Fry chebureki on each side until golden brown and crisp - 2-3 minutes
- Transfer the fried chebureki onto the lined plate
- Repeat the same process with the remaining chebureki
- Serve immediately
