Nöttoppar are traditional Swedish nut macaroons, typically made with finely ground hazelnuts, sugar and eggs. Lightly crisp on the outside and chewy within, they are often topped with a whole nut for extra crunch and decoration. They are gluten-free and easy to make, which makes Nöttoppar a perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee or tea.

  1. Preheat the oven - 175ºC
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Fit the K-Beater
  4. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  5. Mix until combined - 1 minute, speed Min
  6. Divide the mixture into 30 g balls
  7. Place the balls onto the baking tray and space them apart
  8. Press the balls with your palm to flatten slightly
  9. Add a whole hazelnut into the middle of each macaroon
  10. Bake until lightly golden - 15 minutes, 175ºC
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool completely
  12. Serve
