This Italian “flatbread” is a leavened dough, which produces a soft fluffy centre and a light crust on the outside. This bread is great for sharing and can be customised by topping the bread with herbs, sun-dried tomatoes or olives.

Step preview

  1. Grease a baking tray and set aside
  2. Fit the Dough Tool
  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  4. Knead until a dough forms - 10 minutes, speed 1
  5. Transfer the dough onto the tray
  6. Press and stretch the dough to cover the tray, about 2 cm high
  7. Loosely cover with oiled plastic wrap
  8. Prove - 1 hour
  9. Preheat the oven - 200ºC
  10. Retrieve the dough and remove the plastic wrap
  11. Using your fingertips, press indents all over the dough
  12. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt
  13. Bake until golden brown – 25 minutes, 200°C
  14. Remove from the oven and let cool
  15. Serve
