These sunflower and poppy seeds rolls are simple to make and satisfying, served warm they make a great accompaniment to soups and cheeses. You can use any combination of seeds for this recipe so do not be afraid to experiment.

Step preview

  1. Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi)
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the lid without the filler cap
  3. Knead until combined and then scrape the bowl - 2 minutes, speed 5
  4. Knead until the dough has formed - 3 minutes, speed 7
  5. Remove the Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi), attach the lid with the filler cap fitted
  6. Prove until doubled in size - 1 hour, 30°C, speed Off
  7. Flour the baking trays
  8. Add the next ingredients into a clean bowl and mix until combined
  9. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface
  10. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces
  11. Roll each piece into a ball and brush with water
  12. Dip the dough balls into the seed mixture
  13. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking trays
  14. Cover with tea towel and prove until doubled in size - 45 minutes
  15. Preheat the oven - 220ºC
  16. Bake the rolls until golden brown - 15 minutes, 220ºC
  17. Remove from the oven and let cool on a cooling rack
  18. Serve
