Step preview

  1. Line a clean loaf pan with parchment paper
  2. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  3. Attach K Beater
  4. Add butter and caster sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 1 min, Speed Max
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - approx 2 min, Speed Max
  7. Then add egg to the Kenwood Bowl
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted - 3 min, Speed 3
  9. Then add lemon, plain flour and baking powder to the Kenwood Bowl
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed Max
  11. Transfer batter to loaf pan
  12. Bake - 50 min, 180°C
  13. Let cool
  14. Prick the warm cake all over the top with a skewer
  15. Add lemon and caster sugar to a clean small bowl and mix
  16. Pour the lemon drizzle from the small bowl over the top of the cake
  17. Leave in the tin to cool completely
  18. Serve
