A light and fluffy marbled cake, ideal for tea-time. Remember to remove it from the steam basket as soon as it is done to avoid condensation, or cover the mould with baking paper or aluminium. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

  1. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  2. Add caster sugar and egg yolk to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 8
  6. Then add plain flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, oil and milk to the kCook bowl
  7. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 8
  8. Transfer content of kCook bowl to medium bowl then set aside
  9. Clean kCook bowl
  10. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  11. Add salt and egg white to the kCook bowl
  12. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  13. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  14. Mix with filler cap fitted - 4 min, speed 8
  15. Transfer one third of the egg whites to the medium bowl
  16. Stir gently until combined
  17. Remove the Whisk Tool
  18. Transfer content of medium bowl to kCook bowl
  19. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  20. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 5
  21. Grease a clean round pan
  22. Transfer half of the mixture from the kCook bowl to round pan then set aside
  23. Add chocolate to the kCook bowl
  24. Mix with filler cap fitted - 10 sec, speed 12
  25. Transfer mixture to round pan
  26. Clean kCook bowl
  27. Fit slow cook plug to kCook bowl
  28. Add water to the kCook bowl
  29. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  30. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  31. Heat - 104°C
  32. Transfer the round pan to Steamer Tray
  33. Steam - 50 min, 104°C
  34. Serve
