Chocolate bark is quick and simple to make and give as gifts, here’s a candied pecan and chocolate version. Adding a pinch of sea salt at the end is recommended but entirely optional.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Add pecan halves to the baking sheet
  4. Bake until light golden - 10 min, 160°C
  5. Remove from oven then set aside
  6. Add caster sugar and water to a clean saucepan
  7. Heat while stirring occasionally - medium-high heat
  8. Transfer nuts to saucepan
  9. Stir until coated
  10. Transfer nuts to baking sheet carefully
  11. Let cool completely
  12. Chop coarsely then set aside
  13. Attach Creaming beater
  14. Add dark chocolate to the EasyWarm Bowl
  15. Heat with splashguard fitted - 10 min, 7, Stir 1
  16. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  17. Transfer content of EasyWarm Bowl to baking sheet
  18. Spread into a rectangle until level
  19. Scatter the chopped nuts over the chocolate
  20. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt lightly
  21. Let cool until set
  22. Break into pieces
  23. Serve
