Step preview

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Add venison and plain flour to a clean medium bowl
  4. Toss until coated
  5. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  6. Add olive oil to the kCook bowl
  7. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  8. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  9. Heat with filler cap removed - 120°C, speed 3
  10. Transfer meat to kCook bowl
  11. Cook with filler cap removed - 2 min, 140°C, speed 4
  12. Cook with filler cap removed - 3 min, 120°C, speed 3
  13. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  14. Slice onion, celery stalk, carrot and portobello mushroom into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  15. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  16. Add garlic clove to the kCook bowl
  17. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 98°C, speed 1
  18. Then add beef stock, fresh sage, rosemary and orange to the kCook bowl
  19. Cook with filler cap fitted - 1 hr 50 min, 98°C, speed 1
  20. Season to taste
  21. Add cornflour and water to a clean small bowl
  22. Mix
  23. Transfer mixture to kCook bowl
  24. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 104°C, speed 1
  25. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  26. Transfer content of kCook bowl to pie dish
  27. Prepare a clean work surface
  28. Add puff pastry to the work surface
  29. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  30. Transfer pastry to pie dish
  31. Add egg to a clean small bowl
  32. Beat
  33. Glaze content of pie dish with egg mixture
  34. Bake until light golden - 25 min, 220°C
  35. Serve
