A rich stew which gets it deep flavours from the dark beer and caramelised onions. Carbonnade (a Flemish Beef Stew) should be served some steamed root vegetables.

  4. Marinate in fridge - 2 hr

  8. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  9. Heat with filler cap removed - 140°C, speed 3
  10. Transfer beef to kCook bowl
  11. Add bacon to the kCook bowl
  12. Cook with filler cap removed - 2 min, 140°C, speed 4
  13. Cook with filler cap removed - 3 min, 120°C, speed 3
  14. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  15. Slice onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  16. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  17. Add sugar to the kCook bowl
  18. Season
  19. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 140°C, speed 1
  20. Then add beef stock, wholegrain mustard, fresh thyme and fresh parsley to the kCook bowl
  21. Cook with filler cap fitted - 2 hr, 98°C, speed 1
  22. Season to taste
  23. Serve
