A light Italian dessert made of sweetened cream and set with gelatin. This recipe is flavoured with vanilla and could be served with berries and one of our fruit coulis recipes. Alternatively serve with a drizzle of caramel, coffee or limoncello. (This recipe may require setting overnight if making a large quantity i.e eight servings).

Ingredients

  • Silver leaf gelatin sheet icon

    6 g (about 2 ⅓)
  • Caster sugar icon

    75 g (about ¼ cup)
  • Double cream icon
    Double cream
    500 g (about 2 cups)
  • Vanilla extract icon
    Vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon (about 5 ml)

Step preview

  1. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  2. Add caster sugar, double cream and vanilla extract to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  5. Cook with filler cap removed - 5 min, 80°C, speed 4
  6. Then add silver leaf gelatin sheet to the mixture
  7. Cook with filler cap fitted - 30 sec, 80°C, speed 4
  8. Filter with sieve
  9. Transfer mixture to 4 ramekins
  10. Chill in fridge - approx 2 hr
  11. Flip
  12. Serve
