A quick and easy recipe which can be made in fifteen minutes and gives a satisfying hot and spicy kick. Use larger prawns like tiger or king for this recipe- we have used shelled prawns; however, you can also use shell on prawns. Serve with steamed or stir-fried rice.

Step preview

  1. Add red Thai chilli, dry sherry, soy sauce, ketchup and sugar to a clean small bowl
  2. Mix until combined then set aside
  3. Attach the Stir Tool
  4. Add vegetable oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  5. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  6. Heat with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 120°C, Speed OFF
  7. Then add ginger and garlic clove to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 105°C, Stir 2
  9. Then add king prawn to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  10. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  11. Transfer content of small bowl to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Cook with splashguard fitted - 3 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  13. Then season with salt and black pepper
  14. Garnish with spring onion
  15. Serve
