These chocolate-coated truffles make use of any leftover panettone or pandoro as a delicious way of transforming food waste into festive edible gifts (if you can bear to give them away!)

Step preview

  1. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Add the first ingredient into a medium bowl and set aside
  3. Fit the K-Beater
  4. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  5. Mix until well combined - 1 minute, speed Min
  6. Form the mixture into a walnut-sized balls and roll in the cocoa powder until coated
  7. Place the balls on the baking tray
  8. Chill in the fridge – 30 minutes
  9. Fit the Knife blade to the Food Processor attachment
  10. Add the nuts into the attachment
  11. Pulse until finely chopped – 30 seconds
  12. Transfer the nuts into a small bowl and set aside
  13. Remove the attachment from the machine
  14. Add the chocolate into a small saucepan
  15. Heat, stirring constantly, until melted– low heat
  16. Then add the chopped nuts and stir until combined
  17. Place a wire rack over a large baking tray
  18. Using a fork, coat the chilled panettone balls in the chocolate and nut mixture
  19. Place the truffles on the wire rack
  20. Chill in the fridge until set – 30 minutes
  21. Serve
