Step preview

  1. Preheat the oven - 180ºC
  2. Grease a tin and line with parchment paper overlapping the edges
  3. Fit the Whisk Tool
  4. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  5. Whisk – 1 minute, speed 3
  6. Add the next ingredients
  7. Whisk – 1 minute, speed 2
  8. Add the next ingredients
  9. Whisk – 1 minute, speed 1
  10. Transfer the batter into prepared tin
  11. Bake until skewer inserted comes out clean - 35-40 minutes, 180ºC
  12. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in a tin - 20 minutes
  13. Lift the overhanging parchment paper and transfer the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely
  14. Now make the cream cheese frosting
  15. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the K-Beater
  16. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  17. Mix – 3 minutes, speed Max
  18. Add the next ingredients
  19. Mix – 5 minutes, speed Max
  20. Spread the frosting evenly over the top of the cake
  21. Decorate with chocolate shavings and orange zest
  22. Serve
