A tasty, lightly spiced beef filing wrapped in a short pastry. Perfect for lunches or picnics. If you want a milder spice add the chilli whole and remove before filling the parcels.

Step preview

  1. Fit the Knife Blade (or Max Blade for kCook Multi)
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid with filler cap fitted
  3. Mix - 1 minute 30 seconds, speed 7
  4. Add water
  5. Mix – 1 minute, speed 7
  6. Transfer the pastry onto a work surface, knead lightly then wrap in plastic wrap
  7. Chill in a fridge - 20 minutes
  8. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Stir Tool
  9. Add oil into the appliance bowl, attach the lid
  10. Heat - 140ºC, speed 3
  11. Assemble the Direct Prep attachment with the thick slicing disc, and turn it to position 1
  12. Slice onion into the appliance bowl
  13. Add garlic
  14. Cook – 5 minutes, 120ºC, speed 3
  15. Add the next ingredients
  16. Cook – 3 minutes, 120ºC, speed 3
  17. Add the next ingredients
  18. Cook – 30 minutes, 98ºC, speed 3
  19. Preheat the oven - 200ºC
  20. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  21. Remove the pastry from a fridge and place on a lightly floured work surface
  22. Roll out the pastry until 5 mm thick then cut out 10 circles
  23. Spoon about 1.5 tablespoon of filling on each disc
  24. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg
  25. Fold in half to create a semi-circle, press to seal, then transfer on the prepared baking tray
  26. Brush the patties with the remaining egg
  27. Bake – 25 minutes, 200ºC
  28. Serve
