Step preview

  1. Fit the Dough Tool
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  3. Knead until a dough forms – 10 minutes, speed 1
  4. Remove the Dough Tool
  5. Prove until doubled in size – 1 hour, 30°C, speed Off
  6. Flour the proofing basket and set aside
  7. Carefully transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface
  8. Gently pull the edges into the centre
  9. Place into the basket with the seal placed on top
  10. Cover the dough with a damp kitchen towel
  11. Prove until doubled in size – 1 hour
  12. Preheat the oven – 220ºC
  13. Place a tray of water into the bottom of the oven
  14. Place a baking tray in the oven to heat up – 15 minutes
  15. Carefully remove the tray and turn out the dough onto the baking tray
  16. Use a sharp knife or blade to make slashes on top of the dough
  17. Bake until it sounds hollow when the bottom is tapped – 25 minutes, 220ºC
  18. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a cooling rack
  19. Serve
