Step preview

  1. Add beans into a bowl and cover with cold water
  2. Then add salt and stir to dissolve
  3. Soak overnight
  4. Fit the Stir Tool
  5. Transfer the soaked beans into the appliance bowl
  6. Then add hot water and fit the splashguard
  7. Heat until boiling – 6 minutes, 140ºC, speed Off
  8. Cook until softened – 1 hour, 105ºC, speed Stir 4
  9. Drain the beans into colander and set aside
  10. Preheat the oven – 180ºC
  11. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Stir Tool
  12. Add oil into the appliance bowl
  13. Heat until hot – 1 minute, 120ºC, speed Off
  14. Then add the next ingredients
  15. Cook until softened – 8 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  16. Then add the next ingredients
  17. Cook until fragrant – 1 minute, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  18. Then add the next ingredients
  19. Cook until thickened – 2 minutes, 110ºC, speed Stir 2
  20. Then add the cooked beans
  21. Stir until combined – 2 minutes, speed Stir 1
  22. Transfer the mixture into a casserole dish
  23. Bake until the beans are soft, and the sauce has thickened – 1 hour, 180ºC
  24. Remove from the oven and let rest – 10 minutes
  25. Garnish, if desired
  26. Serve
