It is easy to make your own vanilla ice cream with the Frozen Dessert Maker attachment. Try adding chocolate chips or caramel sauce just before placing your ice cream in the freezer. Remember to place the bowl in the freezer 24 hours in advance.

Step preview

  1. Fit the Creaming Beater
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  3. Heat until combined - 2 minutes, 105ºC, speed Stir 1
  4. Transfer the milk mixture into a jug, cover with plastic wrap and set aside
  5. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Whisk Tool
  6. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  7. Whisk until well combined and slightly pale - 2 minutes, speed 4
  8. Then slowly add the milk mixture while the machine is running
  9. Whisk until fully incorporated - 3 minutes, speed 1
  10. Remove the Whisk Tool and fit the Creaming Beater
  11. Heat until thickened - 15 minutes, 85ºC, speed Stir 1
  12. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a clean jug
  13. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool
  14. Chill in the fridge - 2 hours
  15. Attach the Frozen Dessert Maker attachment to the machine
  16. Start the machine, slowly pour the chilled mixture and mix - 30 minutes, speed Min
  17. Remove the attachment from the machine
  18. Pour the ice cream mixture into an airtight container and cover with a lid
  19. Freeze overnight or until solid
  20. Serve
