This quick Tiramisu is a twist on the classic Italian dessert. It will make a perfect addition to a dinner party and impress your guests. You can use ready made sponge cake or make your own one. Cut out about 12 x 3 cm rounds and 24 x 3.5 cm rounds from the sponge cake. The size and number may vary, depending on your serving glasses size. Make an orange oolong by brewing 2 tsp of orange oolong tea in 250 ml of freshly boiled water.

Step preview

  1. Fit the Creaming Beater
  2. Add mascarpone into the appliance bowl
  3. Mix until softened and then scrape the bowl - 1 minute, speed 2
  4. Remove the Creaming Beater and fit the Whisk Tool
  5. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  6. Whisk until thickened - 1 minute 10 seconds, speed 6
  7. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag and set aside
  8. Add the cooled tea into a small bowl
  9. Cut out about 12 x 3 cm rounds and 24 x 3.5 cm rounds from the sponge cake
  10. Add some of the sponge discs into the tea and soak briefly - 2-3 seconds
  11. Transfer the soaked discs to a plate or tray
  12. Repeat the same with the remaining sponge discs
  13. Add 2 tsp of the remaining tea into the base of each shot glass
  14. Add the smallest size sponge disc into each glass and press into the base
  15. Pipe a thin layer of the mascarpone cream on top and top with the larger size sponge disc
  16. Repeat the layering process once more until you have three layers of sponge in total
  17. Finish with a layer of the mascarpone cream and level the top with a spatula
  18. Garnish, if desired
  19. Serve
