Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add milk and dried yeast to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Heat with filler cap fitted - 2 min, 30°C, speed 5
  6. Then add bread flour, orange and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 15 sec, speed 7
  8. Then add unsalted butter, egg yolk, rum, orange blossom water and salt to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 7
  10. Remove midi blade from kCook bowl
  11. Heat with filler cap fitted - 2 hr, 30°C
  12. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  13. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  14. Knead lightly
  15. Roll into a log
  16. Shape into a circle
  17. Place the shaped dough onto the baking tray
  18. Cover with kitchen towel
  19. Prove until doubled in size - 1 hr
  20. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  21. Retrieve the dough
  22. Brush with egg
  23. Decorate with candied citrus peel, cherries candied and pearl sugar
  24. Bake - 25 min, 160°C
  25. Remove from oven
  26. Let cool slightly
  27. Transfer onto cooling rack until completely cool
  28. Add whipping cream to the kCook bowl
  29. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  30. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  31. Whisk with filler cap removed - 1 min 30 sec, speed 7
  32. Transfer cream to piping bag
  33. Retrieve the cooled cake
  34. Cut the cake in half horizontally
  35. Pipe cream onto cake
  36. Top with the other half of the cake
  37. Serve
