Step preview

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Add puff pastry to a clean lightly floured surface
  4. Roll until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  5. Cut into strips then set aside
  6. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  7. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  8. Add olive oil to the kCook bowl
  9. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  10. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  11. Heat with filler cap removed - 140°C, speed 3
  12. Then add smoked lardons to the kCook bowl
  13. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  14. Slice onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  15. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  16. Cook with filler cap removed - 2 min, 110°C, speed 3
  17. Transfer content of kCook bowl to heatproof bowl
  18. Clean kCook bowl
  19. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  20. Add egg to the kCook bowl
  21. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  22. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  23. Stir with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 7
  24. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  25. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  26. Grate gruyère cheese into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  27. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  28. Add nutmeg and double cream to the kCook bowl
  29. Season
  30. Stir with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 7
  31. Then add potato and baby spinach to the kCook bowl
  32. Return content of heatproof bowl to kCook bowl
  33. Stir with filler cap removed - 1 min, speed 5
  34. Transfer content of kCook bowl to ceramic baking dish
  35. Add egg to the ceramic baking dish
  36. Transfer pastry to ceramic baking dish
  37. Brush with egg
  38. Bake - 30 min, 180°C
  39. Serve
