A French adaptation of Welsh Rarebit, this recipe is very simple to make. Soak the bread and place into individual dishes suitable for a grill oven. Top with ham and the cheese with beer mixture before placing under the grill. Serve this recipe as it is or top each slice with a fried egg.

Step preview

  1. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Add beer and milk to a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Mix until combined
  5. Add bread slices to the large mixing bowl individually
  6. Soak slightly
  7. Transfer bread to baking dish
  8. Top with sliced ham one by one then set aside
  9. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  10. Add water to the kCook bowl
  11. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  12. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  13. Grate cheddar cheese into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  14. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  15. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  16. Stir with filler cap removed - 5 min, 80°C, speed 4
  17. Then add beer to the kCook bowl
  18. Stir with filler cap removed - 2 min, 80°C, speed 6
  19. Pre-heat in grill
  20. Transfer cheese mixture to baking dish
  21. Grill in grill until golden brown
  22. Serve
