This twice baked cake is delicious. Bake one layer first, then add the ricotta filling and the remaining cake mixture before baking for a 2nd time. Allow the cake to cool before turning out onto a serving plate. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Line a clean springform pan with parchment paper then set aside
  3. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add ricotta cheese and icing sugar to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 9
  8. Then add dark chocolate chips to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 6
  10. Transfer content of kCook bowl to medium bowl then set aside
  11. Clean kCook bowl
  12. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  13. Add egg and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  14. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  15. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  16. Mix with filler cap fitted - 4 min, 30°C, speed 9
  17. Then add italian 00 flour, wheat starch and baking powder to the kCook bowl
  18. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 6
  19. Then add butter, whole milk and lemon to the kCook bowl
  20. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 7
  21. Spoon one third of content of kCook bowl into springform pan
  22. Spoon the rest of content of kCook bowl into piping bag then set aside
  23. Bake - 25 min, 180°C
  24. Let cool slightly
  25. Spoon content of medium bowl into springform pan
  26. Spread until level
  27. Pipe content of piping bag onto springform pan
  28. Spread until level
  29. Bake - 25 min, 180°C
  30. Let cool - approx 1 hr
  31. Dust with icing sugar
  32. Serve
