Delicious baguettes... you just need to get started. To get a lighter crumb, leave the dough to proof overnight in the fridge, covered in cling film. You can also use some perforated baguettes moulds for the baking stage. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add water to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Heat with filler cap fitted - 38°C, speed 3
  6. Then add active dried yeast to the kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 7
  8. Then add bread flour and salt to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 15 sec, speed 7
  10. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 10
  11. Transfer content of kCook bowl to large mixing bowl
  12. Cover with kitchen towel
  13. Prove - 2 hr
  14. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  15. Knead gently
  16. Divide into 3 equal pieces
  17. Let rest - 15 min
  18. Shape into a baguette
  19. Transfer shaped dough to baking sheet
  20. Cover with kitchen towel
  21. Prove - 1 hr
  22. Pre-heat oven - 250°C
  23. Brush with water
  24. Dust with bread flour
  25. Score gently
  26. Bake - 5 min, 250°C
  27. Bake - 15 min, 230°C
  28. Serve
