Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add milk and fresh yeast to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, 40°C, speed 2
  6. Then add all purpose flour, egg, sugar and salted butter to the kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, 30°C, speed 5
  8. Mix with filler cap fitted - 15 sec, speed 7
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, speed 10
  10. Transfer mixture to large mixing bowl then set aside
  11. Let rest - approx 2 hr
  12. Clean kCook bowl
  13. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  14. Add milk, egg, sugar, cornstarch, egg yolk, vanilla extract and all purpose flour to the kCook bowl
  15. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  16. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  17. Mix with filler cap fitted - 7 min, 95°C, speed 6
  18. Mix with filler cap fitted - 10 sec, speed 8
  19. Pour custard into medium bowl
  20. Cover with plastic wrap then set aside
  21. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  22. Roll out into a rectangle
  23. Spread half of dough with custard
  24. Sprinkle with chocolate chips
  25. Fold
  26. Cut into 10 rectangles
  27. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  28. Transfer shaped dough to baking sheet
  29. Let rest - 2 hr
  30. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  31. Add egg yolk and milk to a clean small bowl
  32. Mix until combined
  33. Brush shaped dough with egg mixture
  34. Bake - 15 min, 180°C
  35. Serve
