Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - approx 1 min, 170°C
  2. Line a clean round pan with parchment paper
  3. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add egg white to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  7. Whisk with filler cap fitted then scrape bowl - 4 min, speed 7
  8. Then add caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  9. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 7
  10. Add egg yolk to the kCook bowl one by one while machine is running
  11. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  12. Then add all purpose flour to the kCook bowl
  13. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  14. Then add lemon and sunflower oil to the kCook bowl
  15. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  16. Pour batter into round pan
  17. Bake - 15 min, 170°C
  18. Remove from oven
  19. Turn out onto cooling rack and let cool
  20. Clean kCook bowl
  21. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  22. Add whipping cream to the kCook bowl
  23. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  24. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  25. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 6 min, speed 7
  26. Then add lemon yogurt to the kCook bowl
  27. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  28. Add lemon, water and sugar to a clean small bowl
  29. Stir until dissolved then set aside
  30. Place the cake onto a cutting board
  31. Cut into 5 vertical slices of the same thickness
  32. Brush lightly the lemon syrup over the cut side of each slice
  33. Spread a 2mm thick layer of cream from the kCook bowl over the cut side of the first slice
  34. Place the first sponge slice covered in cream vertically on the plate
  35. Repeat with the other slices, and place them against each other, until the cake is reconstructed
  36. Spread the remaining cream over the whole cake
  37. Chill overnight in fridge
  38. Serve
